When we first purchased Charlie as a calf, we had high aspirations for him. He was from a very good bloodline and we had visions of earning a fortune in fees to put him out to stud. Alas, it was not to be. As Charlie grew, it became apparent that he did not like cows, he preferred members of the same sex! Every effort was made to encourage him to mate, all to no avail. When placed in a paddock with the cows, Charlie would turn up his nose and move to the farthest corner away from them, put him in with the other bulls however, he would become quite amorous! Charlie is quite tame and gentle natured and can be visited and petted by all our farm stay guests.
